Hudson-Fordyce Marriage, 1905

HUDSON-FORDYCE - A pleasant wedding was solemnized Wednesday, September 20, 1905, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. S. W. Billingsley, East Main street, the contracting parties being Mr. Henry Hudson, of this place, and Miss Ella Fordyce, of Moreford, daughter of Mrs. Malissa Fordyce. Rev. Taylor, pastor of the M. E. church, officiated. Mrs. Ellis Cain, of Benwood, aunt of the bride, and Mrs. Jennie Gordon, of Washington, a guest in the Billingsley home, Mrs. Taylor and Dr. Winget were present. The groom is one of Waynesburg's best young men, and an obliging clerk in the postoffice, and the bride is in evey way deserving of his affection. After a splendid dinner, the happy couple left on the express for Buffalo, Niagara Falls and Toronto, Canada, and will be absent about ten days. We join a host of friends in congratulations.
