Mr. Abner Bailey, an aged and respected citizen of Whiteley township, died Wednesday evening, July 23, 1896, at his home, of a complication of diseases. Mr. Bailey was aged about 82 years. He served a term as county treasurer and made an efficient official. He was a member of the M. E. Church. His surviving children are B. F., of Bedford, Iowa, Presley, of Denver, Colorado, A. J. of Point Marion, E. B. and Mrs. Jane Morris, of Whiteley. Newspaper obituary, date and source unknown (Greene County, Pennsylvania)
