Mrs. Mary Blaker
Mrs. Mary Blaker, aged 48, wife of Imri Blaker, of Ruff Creek, died at 9 o'clock yesterday morning, Oct. 9, at her home following an illness of two or three years, due to Bright's disease. A daughter of Noah Tennant, of Waynesburg, and the late Pleasy Tennant, she was born April 28, 1885, and spent all her life in the Waynesburg and Ruff Creek communities. She was married January 4, 1904, to Imri Blaker, who survives with the following children: Chester and Vernon Blaker, of Waynesburg; Mrs. Harry Garber, of Jefferson, and Lillian Blaker, at home. The following brothers and sisters also survive: A. T. Tennant and Jesse Tennant, all of Waynesburg; Mrs. Cash Willard, of Waynesburg; Mrs. Corilla White, of Titusville, and Mrs. Manta Wells, of Jake's Run, W. Va. Mrs. Blaker was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist church. Funeral services will be held in the Blaker home at 1 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, followed by further rites in the Bethlehem church. Rev. Lindley Shearer, pastor of the church, will officiate. Interment will be in the Bethlehem cemetery. Waynesburg Democrat Messenger, October 10, 1933 (Greene County, PA) |
