MRS. CLARA W. BRANT Mrs. Clara W. Brant, 65, of 215 Fourth avenue, Waynesburg, died at 5:50 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 18, 1955, in Greene County Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was born Nov. 4, 1889 at Brock, a daughter of Eli and Ruth Stephens Whitlatch, deceased. She married Elza Brant on Sept. 4, 1912, who survives. She had spent her entire life in Waynesburg and Greene County. Surviving her are one brother, C. L. Whitlatch of Laurelville, O.; one half-brother, Haywood Whitlatch of Pennsboro, W. Va.; and the following sisters: Mrs. Anna Spragg, Mrs. Alice W. Headlee, Mrs. Julia Haught, and Mrs. Vada Throckmorton, all of Waynesburg; and several nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Valley Chapel Methodist Church and the Waynesburg chapter of the W. C. T. U. BRANT - Friends of Mrs. Clara Brant of 215 Fourth avenue, Waynesburg, who died on Sunday, Dec. 18, 1955, are being received at the Weaver Funeral Home in Waynesburg where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20, with Rev. Dean Hughes officiating. Interment will be in the Green Mount Cemetery. Democrat Messenger, December 19, 1955 (Greene County, PA)
