Faye Hickman Brewer
Mrs. Faye Hickman Brewer, 72, of 147 South East Street, Waynesburg, died at 12:45 a.m. Friday, February 9, 1973, in Greene County Memorial Hospital. Her death was unexpected. She was born August 28, 1900, at Oak Forest, a daughter of Lindsey M. and Cora Fordyce Hickman. Her husband, Glenn J. Brewer, whom she married September 7, 1921, survives. Mrs. Brewer had lived all her life in the Waynesburg area. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Waynesburg, the Jewell Sunday School Class and Board of Deaconesses of the Church. In addition, she was a member and past president of James Farrell Post 330, American Legion Auxiliary; 8 and 40 organization, and John Corbly Descendants. Mrs. Brewer was active in civic affairs. Surviving in addition to her husband, Glenn J. Brewer are one daughter, Mrs. Robert M. (Marilyn) Eichenlaub, Waynesburg; two sons: Robert F. Brewer, Bethlehem, and James L. Brewer, Waynesburg; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Clyde (Helen) Samon, Washington, and two brothers: Frank E. Hickman, Washington, and Paul F. Hickman, Chambersburg. One sister, Nellie, and two brothers: Floyd who was killed while serving with Co. K during World War I, and Clarence are deceased.
