Donald G. Burgess, 24 years, died Wednesday, November 17, 1961, in his home at Mt. Morris, R.D. 1. Death was due to leukemia. He was a son of the late Clarence and Iva Grimes Burgess and was born May 4 1937, at Mt. Morris. He was a member of Mt. Morris Church of God. Surviving are his wife, Mildred Fordyce Burgess; one sister, Mary Louise Burgess, and an uncle, Earl Burgess, both of Mt. Morris. Funeral services were held Friday in the Assembly of God Church. Interment in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Waynesburg Republican, November 23, 1961 (Greene County, PA)
