LLOYD CASSIDY

Lloyd Cassidy, aged 80, of Perry Township, near Mt. Morris, died at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26, 1949, in his home following a lingering illness.

A well known retired farmer and stock raiser, Mr. Cassidy was born April 2, 1869 in Preston County, W. Va., a son of the late Isaac and Lydia Smith Cassidy. He had lived in the Mt. Morris vicinity for more than 50 years. He was a member of the Shannon Run Methodist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Nancy Lemley Cassidy; two daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Brushell and Mrs. Lulu Wade of Mt. Morris; three grandchildren, one great-grandchild and one brother, Earl Cassidy of Morgantown, W. Va., R. D.


CASSIDY - Funeral services for Lloyd Cassidy of Perry Township, near Mt. Morris, who died Friday, Aug. 26, 1949, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 29, from the Assembly of God Church, Mt. Morris, with the Rev. W. C. Long officiating. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Friends received at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Myrtle Brushall of Mt. Morris, after 7 p.m. Saturday. Church Funeral Home, Waynesburg, in charge.
