Jesse Cole

Jesse Cole, aged 63, well known resident of Oak Forest, died at his hme Saturday morning, August 22, 1942, at 4:20 o'clock, after an illness of four years.

A lifelong resident of the Oak Forest community, he was born June 13, 1878, a son of the late John and Nancy Fordyce Cole and for a number of years was engaged in the teaming business in the oil and gas fields of Greene County. Mr. Cole was a member of the Pursley Baptist Church. Besides his wife, Emma S. Gilbert Cole, he leaves three sons, Lantz Cole and Ralph Cole, of Oak Forest, and Edwin Cole, of Waynesburg. There are two grandchildren.

Friends are being received at the Cole residence.

Funeral services for Jesse Cole, late of Oak Forest, will be held Monday afternoon, August 24, 1942, with short services at the late home at 1:30 o'clock, followed by further services in the Pursley Baptist Church with Rev. Howard Rodebaugh in charge. Interment will be in the Pursley Cemetery. Friends will be received at the Cole residence. Funeral arrangements are in charge of Ralph H. Scott, Rogersvulle funeral director.
