Julia L. Conklin

Julia L. Conklin, 92, of Mt. Morris R. D. 1, died at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, 1983, in her home. Death was due to an apparent coronary occlusion.

She was born April 4, 1890, in Perry Township, near Mt. Morris, a daughter of the late John and Sarah Headlee Lemley.

Mrs. Conklin had spent all her life in the Mt. Morris area where she was a member of the Shannon Run United Methodist Church.

Her husband, Francis E. Conklin, died April 18, 1963.

Surviving are two daughters, Nellie Conklin of Washington, Mrs. Cecil (Marie) Ritter of Mt. Morris R. D. 1; a son, Richard Conklin, of New Philadelphia, Ohio; four grandchildren; one great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Conklin was the last of her immediate family. Deceased are three sisters, Almira, Rebecca and Rachael; and five brothers, Marion, Sanford, Albert, Wilburt and Lewis.


Friends of Julia L. Conklin of Mt. Morris R. D. 1, who died Tuesday, March 1, 1983, will be received in the Glise A. Mariner and Samuel A. Milliken Funeral Home, 197 North Maiden Street, Waynesburg, from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, where services will be held Friday, March 4 at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Barry Davis officiating. Burial in Claughton Cemetery.
