Margaret J. Conner Margaret J. Conner, 82, of 253 Second Avenue, Waynesburg, was dead on arrival at 5 p.m. Sunday, March 10, 1974 at Greene County Memorial Hospital. She had been ill for the past nine months. She was born February 19, 1892 at Pine Bank, a daughter of the late Marion and Mary Headlee Masters. All her life was spent in the Waynesburg area except for 22 years in the Brownsville-Clairton area. Mrs. Conner was a member of the First Baptist Church of Waynesburg; the STS Sunday School Class which she served as treasurer for many years; the Lady Greene Rebekah Lodge 385 of Waynesburg for 45 years; the Tahoma Club; Wayne Council 124, Daughters of America; Keystone Senior Citizens of Greene County and the Dames of Malta Lodge of Clairton. Her husband, Cecil E. Conner, died January 29, 1959. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Marian C. Rush of Waynesburg; one son, John R. Conner of Crestview, Fla.; and adopted son, Donald P. Conner of Detroit, Mich.; seven grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and one brother, Arthur Masters of Mt. Morris. One sister and three brothers are deceased.
