Artie H. Cooper, 85, of Irwin, formerly of Greene County, died Tuesday, April 20, 1982, in Myersdale Hospital following a three-month illness. She was born in Bluff, a daughter of the late James Mason and Elizabeth Stewart Cooper and was affiliated with the Mt. Zion Church in Bluff. She was employed by the Veterans Administration in 1918 and served the agency until her retirement at age 65. She was head secretary at the agency in Irwin. She also taught school for a few years in Jackson Township. Surviving is a brother, Jack Cooper of New Freeport. Services were held in Irwin, with burial in Penn Lincoln Memorial Park.
