Recie Dukate Cooper, 80, of 775 Ewing Street, Washington, formerly of Waynesburg, died at 11:20 a.m. Tuesday, January 9, 1979, at the residence of David Harner, following a long illness.
She was born May 10, 1898, in Springhill Township, a daughter of Mr. ad Mrs. Denny Dukate. She had spent most of her life in the New Freeport and Waynesburg communities and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Waynesburg. For several years she had been employed at the Fort Jackson Hotel in Waynesburg. Her husband, Rinehart Cooper Sr., died October 19, 1977. Surviving are a son, Rinehart Cooper Jr. of Steubenville, Ohio; three granddaughters, Jacqueline Baughman of Cleveland, Ohio, Mrs. Richard (Winifred) Riggen of Waynesburg, and Mrs. Thomas (Carmen) Humann of Milwaukee, Wisc. Also surviving are a half-sister, Meryle Higgins of Washington, four half-brothers, Norman Wade, Lewis Wade and Reuben Wade, all of Washington, and Haskill Dukate of Evansville, Ind.
