Donald B. Cowell Donald B. Cowell, 72, of Mt. Morris Start Route, Waynesburg, died at 2:53 p.m. Thursday, March 1, 1984, in Monogalia General Hospital, Morgantown, W. Va., following a short illness. He was born May 31, 1911, in Perry Township, son of Edward and Effie Kiger Cowell. His wife, Kathryn F. Cowell, died November 17, 1980. Mr. Cowell had lived his early life in Perry Township and had resided in Waynesburg for the past 50 years. He had been employed for 26 years by Consolidation Coal Co., retiring in 1977. Mr. Cowell was a member of the Claughton Chapel United Methodist Church and UMWA Local 1058. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Donald (Joanna) Throckmorton of Mt. Morris Star Route, Waynesburg; eight sons, M. Russell, James A. and Robert D. Cowell, all of Waynesburg, Charles E. Cowell of Chicago, Ill., Donald R. Cowell of Mt. Morris, Gary R. Cowell of Marietta, Ohio, Ronald C. Cowell of Springfield, Va., and D. Keith Cowell of Mt. Morris Star Route, Waynesburg; 23 gradnchildren and three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Agnes Eisiminger of Waynesburg R. D. 3. An infant son is deceased. Cowell - Friends of Donald B. Cowell of Mt. Morris Star Route, Waynesburg, who died Thursday, March 1, 1984, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday in the Glise E. Mariner and Samuel A. Milliken Funeral Home, Waynesburg, where services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, March 4, with the Rev. Deane Hardy, the Rev. Kathy Higgins and the Rev. David Hackenberg officiating.
