Clydia E. Crouse Former Rogersville Resident Clydia E. "Mammy" Crouse, 95, of Lebanon, Ind., formerly of Wheeling W. Va., and Rogersville, died at 12:30 p.m. Monday, February 22, 1999 in Witham Memorial Hospital, Lebanon, Ind. She was born August 27, 1903, in Coolidge, Kan., a daughter of Albert L. and Maria Elliott. Mrs. Crouse had resided in Rogersville from 1925 until 1978. She also had resided in Wheeling, Jacksonville, Fla., and Indianapolis, Ind., prior to moving to Lebanon in 1996, where she made her home with her granddaughter, Patricia Howard Ostewig. Mrs. Crouse was a former member of the Rogersville Christian Church. She was a homemaker whose main interests included taking care of others. On November 2, 1925, she married Anthony F. Crouse, who died in 1981. Surviving are two daughters, Joanna Ruth Waters of Indianapolis and Rosalie Sue Arnold of Jacksonville; a son, Robert Franklin Crouse of Mooresville, Ind.; eight grandchildren, Patricia Ostewig, Pamela Jean Geisler, Rebecca Louise Gephardt, Barbara Ellen Brown, Georgette Spitzer, Raymond Gail Phillips, Linda Lou Dees and Robin Denise Hall. Deceased is a great-granddaughter.
CROUSE - Friends of Clydia E. "Mammy" Crouse of Lebanon, Ind., formerly of Wheeling, W.Va., and Rogersville, who died Monday, February 22, 1999, will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday and noon to 1 p.m., the hour of services, Friday, February 26, in Rush Funeral Home Inc., Rogersville.
