Funeral rites were conducted Sunday afternoon for Franklin Edward Crouse, well known resident of Rogersville, who died at 10:15 p. m. Thursday, Dec. 27, 1934, at his home following an extended illness. Short services in the Crouse residence were followed by further rites at 2 o'clock in the Rogersville Christian Church with Rev. Larue Brown in charge. Interment was an Rosemont Cemetery.

Mr. Crouse had been ill for the past two years. A son of Enos and Mary Bennett Crouse, he was born near Hill's School, Franklin Township, but spent most of his life in Rogersville. He married Clara Belle Huffman, who survives with one son, Clarence A. Crouse, of Rogersville; three sisters, Mrs. Katherine Wiley, of Amity, and Mrs. Alice Throckmorton and Mrs. Winifred Leonard, both of Rogersville, and two brothers, Albert Y. Crouse and Fred Crouse, also of Rogersville. There are three grandchildren. Mr. Crouse was a member of the Rogersville Christian Church.
