Nelle S. Cumberledge Nelle S. Cumberledge, 72, of Waynesburg, R. D. 2, died at 2:10 p.m. Saturday, October 9, 1971, following a lengthy illness. She was born March 30, 1899, in Jackson Township, a daughter of the late Thomas Robert and Mary Etta Williams Stockdale. On July 25, 1918, she married Ray Cumberledge, who died March 6, 1959. Mrs. Cumberledge was a lifelong resident of Jackson Township, until recently and was a member of the Bethany United Methodist Church. Surviving are two sons; Paul and Robert Cumberledge, both of Columbus, Ohio; one daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Margretta) Replogle, of Dunedin, Fla.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, and two brothers: David Stockdale, of Holbrook Star Route, and Frank Stockdale, of Zanesville, Ohio. Two sisters and three brothers are deceased. Funeral services were held Tuesday with burial in Bethany Cemetery. Newspaper obituary, date and source unknown (Greene County, PA)
