A. L. Dulaney, aged 74 years, a prominent resident of Perry Township died Saturday evening, August 16, at 8:10 o'clock at his home near Mt. Morris following a two weeks illness due to hardening of the arteries. Mr. Dulaney born December 22, 1849, a son of the late Abraham Dulaney and Susanna Lemley Dulaney, he was a lifelong resident of Perry township. He taught school in Greene county for a period of ten years and was at one time postmaster at Mt. Morris. Mr. Dulaney followed farming and stock raising the greater part of his life, but in late years he had given most of his attention to dealing in coal, oil and gas territory, and wool. He was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church and of the I. O. O. F. lodge. Besides his wife, Rebecca Jane Dulaney, he eaves [sic] three sons and three daughters, namely: Ira B. Dulaney, of Philadelphia; Byron Dulaney and Russell Dulaney, at home; Mrs. Edna Barnhart, of Martins Ferry, O.; Mrs. Kelsey Baer, of Washington, Pa., and Miss Dora Dulaney, at home. He also leaves one brother, Eli Dulaney, of St. Leo, W. Va. Funeral services were held at the Dulaney home Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Harry Headley. Interment was in the Mt. Morris cemetery.
