IN MEMORIAM In loving remembrance of our dear father, Lindsey Dulaney, who died May 11, 1926, at the home of his son, C. W. Dulaney, of Washington, Pa. He was a son of the late George and Katherine Fox Dulaney and was born September 21, 1858, being 68 years, 7 months and 20 days old. He was three times married. His first wife being Susan Headley and to this union were born C. W. Dulaney, now of Washington, Pa.; Mrs. Ross Phillips, of Waynesburg, and Mrs. John Phillips, of Mt. Morris and George, who died in infancy. His second wife being Louisa Owens and to this union was born one daughter, Mrs. Charles Johnson, of Pentress W. Va. His last wife being Sarah Dulaney, who survives him. Two children were born to them: Iva C. (looks like Chloe) who died in 1923, and Pearle, at home. One sister, Mrs. John Keener, of Waynesburg, also survives. His rather sudden death caused by cancer of the stomach came as a great shock to his family and many friends. The funeral was conducted by Rev. Mr. Love, of Washington, and the pastor, Rev. Mr. Jenkins. The interment was at Claughton Chapel cemetery. Several years ago the deceased was baptised by Rev. Mr. Fry. A precious one from us has gone, A voice we loved is stilled; A place is vacant in our home, Which never can be filled. God, in his wisdom, has recalled, The one his love had given, And though his body slumbers here, The soul is safe in Heaven. Newspaper obituary, Date and source unknown (Greene County, PA) |
