MRS. W.P. DOWNS PASSED AWAY ON SUNDAY

Funeral Services Held Tuesday Afternoon at Ashley Funeral Home

Mrs. Viola Downs, 83, died Sunday morning at her home in Pierceton, following an attack of heart trouble.
Mrs. Downs was a long time resident of Pierceton, and was a daughter of James and Mary Fordyce. She was a life long member of the Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are children, Merl Downs, at home, and Mrs. Fred Pletcher of Fort Wayne, and four grandchildren. A daughter, Mrs. Inez Covey, passed away several years ago.
Wesley P. Downs, her husband, preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock at the Ashley Funeral Home. Rev. E.C. Lindsay, pastor of the Presbyterian Church, officiated. Burial was made in the Hillcrest Cemetery.
