Frank Thomas Ealy Meter reader for Carnegie Natural Gas Co. Frank Thomas Ealy, 94, of Waynesburg and formerly of Graysville, died at 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 3, 1997, in Rolling Meadows Nursing Home in Waynesburg following a lengthy illness. Mr. Ealy was born October 18, 1903, in Graysville, a son of James A. and Annie M. Huffman Ealy and had lived in Graysville all of his life until moving to Waynesburg in October 1995. Mr. Ealy was a member and trustee of the Unity Presbyterian Church in Graysville. He was also a charter member of the Graysville Volunteer Fire Department, serving as treasurer for 30 years. Mr. Ealy was employed as a well tender and meter reader by Carnegie Natural Gas Co. for 43 years prior to his retirement in 1968. He was first married to Eva I. Fox Ealy who died in 1928. He married Edna A. Fordyce in October 5, 1935. She died September 28, 1994. Surviving are one daughter, Martha Jane Lewis of East Palestine, Ohio; two grandsons, William R. Lewis and Kevin B. Lewis; three great-grandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; and two nieces. Deceased are one brother, Vaughn Ealy; and two sisters, Bernice Staggers and Helen Ealy.
EALY - Friends of Frank Thomas Ealy of Waynesbsurg, who died Wednesday, December 3, 1997, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Rush Funeral Home, Inc., Rogersville, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 6, 1997, with the Rev. Sue Foxall officiating. Interment will follow in Rosemont Cemetery, Center Township. The Graysville VFD will hold a memorial service at 7 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
