Hazel C. Ely Member of former Swarts United Methodist Church Hazel C. Ely, 91, of Waynesburg R.D.2, died at 3:30 p.m. Friday, August 27, 1999, in Rolling Meadows Nursing Home, Waynesburg. She was born March 5, 1908, in Kuhntown, a daughter of Lindsey and Rebecca Wise Cole. Mrs. Ely was a homemaker and a member of the former Swarts United Methodist Church, Swarts, where she was secretary of W.S.C.S of the church for several years. On March 5, 1928, she married Ernest S. Ely, who died January 21, 1995. Surviving are a daughter, Mary Louise Fabian of Waynesburg; a grandson, James Campbell; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Helen Donley of Waynesburg; and a half sister, Mary Aldine Davidson of Grafton, W.Va. Deceased are a sister, Essie Taylor; and a brother, Herschel Cole. Greene County Observer-Reporter, August 28, 1999 (Greene County, PA)
