Josie Lee Evans Lifelong Greene resident Josie Lee Evans, 94, formerly of Rogersville, died at 9:45 p.m. Friday, May 19, 1995, in Franklin Care Center, Waynesburg. She had been in failing health for the past several years. She was born September 17, 1900, in Jackson Township, a daughter of Harvey and Louie Fordyce Evans. Miss Evans resided in the Rogersville and Waynesburg areas all her life. She was a member of the Rogersville United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. She was also an active member of Harvey's Grange No. 1444 as long as her health permitted. For several years prior to her retirement, Miss Evans worked in the high school cafeteria in the West Greene School District. She was the last of her immediate family. Her sister, H. Madeline Evans died July 7, 1993.
EVANS - Friends of Josie Lee Evans, formerly of Rogersville, who died Friday, May 19, 1995, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, in the Rush Funeral Home Inc., Rogersville, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 24, with the Rev.
