Mrs. Louie F. Evans
Mrs. Louie Fordyce Evans, aged 64, wife of Harvey H. Evans, of Sycamore, R. D. 1 (near Hopewell), died at 8:40 p.m. yesterday, Sept. 2, 1943, in the Greene County Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Evans had been in failing health for some time, but her condition had been critical only two days. A lifelong resident of Greene County, she was a daughter of the late Homer C. and Eliza Huffman Fordyce, and was born June 26, 1879, in Gilmore Township. She was a member of the Mt. Zion Methodist Church at Bluff. She was married in 1900 to Harvey H. Evans, who survives with two daughters, H. Madelin Evans and Josephine L. Evans, both at home, and one sister, Mrs. W. E. Cox, of Akron, Ohio.
EVANS - Funeral services for Mrs. Louie Fordyce Evans, wife of Harvey H. Evans, of Center Township, who died Thursday evening, Sept. 2, 1943, will be held Sunday, Sept. 5, at 2 p.m. at the Evans home near Hopewell, with Rev. Lester Peters in charge.
