Mrs. Lucretia Evans, 86, Holbrook R.D. 1, died in her home following a long illness at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, February 27, 1977. A daughter of James and Belle Fordyce Bayard, she was born February 26, 1891 in Jackson Township, where she resided all her life. Her husband, Ross Evans, whom she married November 30, 1911, died October 4, 1965. Mrs. Evans, who taught school in early life, was one of the oldest members of the Holbrook Christian Church. Surviving are a daughter, Miss Helen Evans, at home; a brother, Samuel Bayard of Holbrook, and several nieces and nephews. A sister, Mrs. Georgia Filby, is deceased.
