Genevieve L. Foley
Member of Fox Chapel Church, Mt. Morris

Genevieve Lemley Foley, 89, of 1349 Buckeye Road, Mt. Morris, died at 12:43 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2002, in Smithley Personal Care Home, Mt. Morris, following a lengthy illness.

She was born December 30, 1912, in Perry Township, Greene County, a daughter of Sanford and Mary Elizabeth Wade Lemley.

Mrs. Foley was a member of Fox Chapel Church in Mt. Morris, where she served as secretary/treasurer from 1964 to 1996 and was a member of the Women's Fellowship Group.

She was a member of Monongalia County Homemakers Union and the Homemakers Club.

Mrs. Foley worked for several years as a clerk and cashier at Walls Grocery Store in Core, W.Va.

Her husband, Clyde R. Foley, died October 16, 1981.

Surviving are a daughter, Ellen E. Campbell of Mt. Morris; a son, Marvin Lemley of Fairmont, W.Va.; three grandchildren, Sherry Lee Efaw, Scott Eugene Lemley and Valerie Jane Campbell; three great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was the last of her immediate family.

Deceased are a sister who died in infancy; and two brothers, Ralph and John W. Lemley.


FOLEY - Friends of Genevieve Lemley Foley of 1349 Buckeye Road, Mt. Morris, who died Wednesday, March 6, 2002, will be received from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home Inc., Ellsworth Avenue and Route 19, Mt. Morris, and from 10 until 11 a.m., the hour of services, Saturday, March 9, in Fox Chapel Church, Mt. Morris, with the Rev. Robert G. Fox officiating. Interment will follow in Olive Cemetery, Pentress, W.Va. The family suggests memorials to Defenders of Faith or Fox Chapel Church, 1349 Buckeye Road, Mt. Morris, PA 15349.
