Carl C. Fordyce

Carl C. (Pone) Fordyce, 84, of Waynesburg R.D. 3, died at 1:05 P.M. Wednesday, September 8, 1993, in Veteran's Administration Hospital, Oakland, following an illness of four months.

He was born December 30, 1908, in Center Township, Greene County, a son of Jacob and Mary Longstreth Fordyce.

Mr. Fordyce lived his entire life in Greene County. He was a graduate of Waynesburg High School.

Mr. Fordyce was a member of First Christian Church of Waynesburg and Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie No. 598.

Mr. Fordyce was a veteran of Worl War II. He served with the U.S. Army in the European theater.

He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Blanche Fordyce Smouse of Waynesburg; a nephew and his wife with whom he made his home, Doug and Bonnie Smouse of Waynesburg R.D. 3; a niece and two nephews.

Two brothers, Lawrence and Wilbur Fordyce are deceased.

Arrangements were made by the Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home in Waynesburg.
