Jacob G. Fordyce
Jacob G. Fordyce, 77, of [unreadable] street, Waynesburg, died at [unreadable] p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, 1957 at his late residence after a lingering illness. He was a well known painter in the Waynesburg area. Born January 13, 1880, in Center Township, he was a son of Albert and Melissa Burge Fordyce. He ahd lived in Waynesburg most of his life. He is survived by his wife, Mary Longstreth Fordyce; a daughter, Mrs. Blanche Smouse, and two sons, Wilbert and Carl Fordyce, all at home; two sisters, Mrs. Ella Hudson and Mrs. Olive Haines, both of Waynesburg, and two brothers, Henry Fordyce of Waynesburg and Ottie Fordyce of Clarksville, and six grandchildren. A son, Lawrence, two sisters and one brother are deceased. He was a member of the Willow Grove Christian Church.
FORDYCE - Friends of Jacob G. Fordyce of Waynesburg, who died Tuesday, Oct. 1, 1957 will be received after 7 p.m. today (Wednesday) at the Church-Mariner Funeral Home, 197 North Maiden street, Waynesburg, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, with Rev.
