James H. Fordyce died at his home at Claysville, Pa., July 22. He was a union soldier, serving in the 140th Pennsylvania Regiment. He had formerly residen in East Finley, and was a blacksmith by trade. His remains were buried in the Fairmount cemetery. Waynesburg Republican, July 25, 1895 (Greene County, PA)
