Death Is Sudden For East End Tot.
Jessie Ameda Fordyce, three-year-old daughter of Henry and Jessie Taylor Fordyce, of Waynesburg, died in her home Saturday night, June 6, 1931, at 8:30 o'clock. The child had complained of not feeling well when she awakened Saturday morning, but became seriously ill about 4 p.m. and a physician was called. She died in a few hours. Besides her parents, who are well known in Waynesburg, she leaves her grandmother, Mrs. Sophronia Taylor, and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Myrtle Conkle, Waynesburg; Laura, Marguerite, William and Harless, all at home. Funeral services were held in the Fordyce home Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, in charge of Rev. F. S. Dowdy, pastor of the First Christian church. Interment was in Oakmont cemetery.
