Last Rites Held For Well Known Farmer

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, December 26, for J. B. Fordyce, well known farmer, who died at his home in Richhill township, near Graysville, Friday afternoon, Dec. 23. Services were held at the late home in charge of Rev. A. A. Blake, of Washington. Interment was in the Rosemont cemetery, Rogersville.

Mr. Fordyce was aged 69 years. He was born at Miracle Run, W. Va., December 27, 1863. He was united in marriage with Annie Fox, whose death occurred four years ago. He was one of the most active members of the South Ten Mile Baptist church, being teacher of the Young Men's class and a member of the Board of Deacons of the congregation. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias Lodge No. 165.

Five children survive: Dr. J. A. Fordyce, Pittsburgh; Denny Fordyce, Graysville; Mrs. H. R. Ealy, Wind Ridge; F. W. Fordyce, Graysville, and Miss Edna Fordyce, at home. Four brothers and three sisters survive as follows: Spencer, S. T. and A. L. Fordyce, Miracle Run, W. Va., and M. L. Fordyce, Smithfield, W. Va.; Mrs. S. T. Lemley, Beulah, W. Va.; Mrs. Emma Kughn and Mrs. Charles Jones, Mannington, W. Va.
