John Franklin Fordyce, 64, of Mount Morris, R.D. 1, died at 10:30 a.m. Saturday,
November 28, 1964, of a coronary occlusion in the home of Mrs. Casby Johnson. He had been
in his usual health and his death was unexpected.
He was born October 1, 1900, in Monongalia County, W. Va., a son of Benson and Susan King Fordyce. All his life had been spent in the Mt. Morris community. He followed farming and stock-raising. For over 50 years he resided with the Casby Johnson family. He was a member of the Asbury Methodist Church near Mt. Morris. Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Ethel Davis of Waynesburg, R.D., and one brother, Calvin Fordyce of Fairmont, W. Va. One sister is deceased.
