MRS. LAURA FORDYCE
Mrs. Laura Fordyce, 62, wife of Thomas Fordyce, of Pennsylvania Avenue, Cameron, W. Va., died at her home Saturday, Jan. 2, 1954, at 7 p.m. after a sudden illness. She was born Dec. 24, 1891, in Whetzel County, W. Va., a daughter of Isaac and Ruth Haines Phillips and had lived most of her life in the Cameron community. In addition to her husband she leaves an adopted daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Smith, of Melrose, Fla.; two brothers, Leasure Phillips, Jacksonville, Fla.; Edward Phillips, St. Petersburg, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. Morgan Hamilton, of Cameron, and Mrs. W. S. Sayers, Washington, Pa. Also one grandchild. She was a member of the Green Valley Church of Christ, Cameron.
FORDYCE - Funeral services for Mrs. Laura Fordyce, of Pennsylvania Avenue, Cameron, W. Va., who died Saturday, Jan. 2, 1954, will be held Tuesday, Jan. 5, at 2 p.m. from the Sand Hill Church of Christ in charge of Evangelist W. E. Fortney. Burial in Sand Hill Cemetery.
