Mrs. Leila Fordyce, 57, of 145 West Warren Street, Cadiz, Ohio, formerly of Waynesburg, died Monday, May 21, 1973 in the Cadiz Hospital after a lingering illness. Born December 9, 1915 in Cameron, W. Va., she was a daughter of the late George W. Swann and Della Miller Swann, and was the widow of the late Kent Fordyce, who died in 1968. Mrs. Fordyce was a longtime resident of the Waynesburg area, but moved to Cadiz to live with her cousin, Mrs. Lena Repport, shortly after the death of her husband. She was a member of the East Market Street Church of Christ, Cadiz, and was also a member of the Emerald Chapter, 135 Order of the Eastern Star, Waynesburg. Surviving her are a daughter, Mrs. Joan Lyng of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; two sons, Edward Fordyce of Blacksburg, Va., and Raymond Fordyce of New Haven, Conn.; three grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Pauline Barnhart of Waynesburg.
