Claysville homemaker enjoyed baking

Mary B. Fordyce, 81, of Claysville, died Friday, March 3, 2000, in Presbyterian Medical Center, Washington.

She was born October 24, 1918, in South Franklin Township, a daughter of Charles B. and Fannie Porter Jolley.

Mrs. Fordyce was a member of First Baptist Church in Claysville.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed baking, arranging flowers and spending time with her family.

She was a member of James R. Hunt American Legion Post 539 Auxiliary in Claysville and AARP.

In April 1939, she married Theodore R. Fordyce, who died January 27, 1979.

Surviving are two sons, Theodore A. (Arch) Fordyce of Claysville and Joseph M. Fordyce of Burgettstown; a brother, John Jolley of Claysville; two sisters, Louise Whitten of Tamarac, Fla., and Betty Rose Dillie of Claysville; three grandchildren, Holly Jones and Christopher and Beth Fordyce; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are two brothers, Gaylord and William Jolley; and two sisters, Bertha Buckingham and Velma Sprowls.

Services will be private and handled by Michael H. Heinrich Funeral Home, Claysville. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to American Cancer Society, 135 South College Street, Washington, PA 15301.
