BORDEN -- Melvin "Fred" Fordyce, 71, died Friday at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany.
He was a retired employee of General Electric Co. in Louisville, an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and a former member of Teamsters Local 89. Survivors: his wife, the former Thelma Feiock; a son, Jerry Fordyce of Hazel Crest, Ill.; two daughters, Frieda Ford of Madison and Melody Sizemore; three sisters, Loretta Roberson of Floyds Knobs and Thelma Malone and Mildred Hunt; and five grandchildren. Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday, Martinsburg Church of Christ. Burial: Martinsburg Cemetery.
