Minor J. Fordyce, 80, of 54 North Morris Street, Waynesburg, died at 3:15 p.m. Friday, April 26, 1985, in University Medical Center, Morgantown, W. Va., following a two-month illness.

He was born Marhc 12, 1905, in Dunkard Township, son of the late Joseph and Rebecca Rice Fordyce.

He spent his entire life in Greene County. He was affiliated with the Protestant faith.

He was an employee of Yoders Construction Company and was a farmer.

His wife, Virginia Presock Fordyce, died January 17, 1962.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Grady (Shirley) Caviness of Riverton, Ill., Mrs. Eugene (Grace) Conklin of Waynesburg, Mildred Johnson of Waynesburg and Mrs. Sylvanus (Marlene) Bennett of Waynesburg R.D. 4; two sons, Raymond Fordyce of Pine Bank and Paul Fordyce of Carmichaels, Calif.; 27 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; five sisters, Flora Herrod of Waynesburg, Margaret Calahan of Warren, Ohio, Josephine Kerns of Warren, Mary Pyles of Clarksville, Olive Fox of Clarksville; and three brothers, Hartford Fordyce of Homestead, George Fordyce of Waynesburg, and Melvin Fordyce of Clarksville.

Two brothers, Joseph Fordyce and Andrew (Dick) Fordyce are deceased.


FORDYCE - Minor J. Fordyce of 54 North Morris Street, Waynesburg, who died Friday, April 26, 1985, will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. Saturday in the Glise E. Mariner and Samuel A. Milliken Funeral Home, 197 North Maiden Street, Waynesburg, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 28, with the Rev. Nick Bardo officiating. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Mt. Morris.
