Mrs. Myra A. Fordyce
Mrs. Myra A. Fordyce, aged 38 years, died Tuesday, June 12, 1928, at 10:45 a.m. at her home, 612 East High street, Waynesburg, following an illness of several months' duration. Mrs. Fordyce was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Philip and Elizabeth Seeler Metschan and was born in Pittsburgh, October 3, 1889. Mrs. Fordyce spent her early life in Pittsburgh, but for the past several years has resided in Greene county, where she is well known. She united in marriage with A. A. Fordyce, who, with three children, Kenneth, aged 13; H. Jean, aged 11, and Alberta, aged 7, all at home, survive. Her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Metchan, of Waynesburg, and one sister, Mrs. helen Cutright, of Downey, Idaho, also survive. Mrs. Fordyce was a member of the old Central Christian church of Pittsburgh and was active in the affairs of that congregation. Funeral services will be conducted in the late home, 612 East High street, on Firday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock, by Rev. T. Sanford Williams of the First Christian church of Waynesburg.
