REBECCA RICE FORDYCE
Mrs. Rebecca Rice Fordyce, 92, of Waynesburg, R. D. 3, died at 2:45 a.m. Tuesday, May 21, 1968, in Greene County Memorial Hospital. She had been seriously ill for the past several days. She was born September 30, 1875, in Whiteley Township near Garards Fort, a daughter of the late John and Mary Ruse Rice. Mrs. Fordyce had lived most of her life in the Mt. Morris and Waynesburg areas. She was a member of the Washington Street Methodist Church at Waynesburg. Her husband died May 2, 1965. Surviving are five daughters: Mrs. Flora Herrod, of Waynesburg; Mrs. John (Mary) Pyles, of Waynesburg, R. D. 1; Mrs. William (Margaret) Callahan, of Waynesburg; Mrs. Ralph (Olive) Fox, of Clarksville, R. D. 1, and Mrs. George (Josephine) Kern, of Waynesburg, R. D. 4; six sons: Minor, of Waynesburg; George of Waynesburg; Hartford, of Homestead; Joseph, of Waynesburg, R. D. 3; Richard, of Waynesburg, and Miller, of Clarksville, R. D. 1; 43 grandchildren; 75 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; one half-brother, Martin Keener, of Scotts Run, W. Va.; one daughter, one son, two sisters and two brothers are deceased. Funeral services were held Friday with burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
FORDYCE - Friends of Mrs. Rebecca Rice Fordyce, 92, of Waynesburg, R. D. 3, who died Tuesday, May 21, 1968, will be received after 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Mariner and Milliken Funeral Home, Waynesburg, where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, in charge of Rev.
