Vance E. Fordyce Vance E. Fordyce, 51, of Garrison, died at 7:45 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 14, 1958. He was a driller in the oil fields. Born Oct. 4, 1906, in Littleton, W. Va., he was a son of William Fordyce of Ned and the late Minnie Lemley Fordyce and spent most of his life in Greene County. In addition to his father he is survived by his wife, Virginia Loar Fordyce, whom he married in 1927, and a brother, David William Fordyce of Washington. He was a member of the Sand Hill Church of Christ. Funeral Arrangements are incomplete. Friends will be received at the home of the deceased's father with time to be announced. Fordyce of Garrison, who died Sunday, Sept. 14, 1958, will be received after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the home of his father and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. William Fordyce. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, at the Sand Hill Church of Christ where the body will lie in state from one o'clock until the services.
