Wm. A. Fordyce Dies Suddenly November 21
William Arthur Fordyce, 38 years, of Kirby, died suddenly Saturday, November 21, at 12:30 o'clock in his home. He was a son of Charles and Sylvia Shape Fordyce, and was born December 16, 1920, in Waynesburg. Mr. Fordyce was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U. S. Air Force in Germany. After separation from the Armed Forces, he came to work for the Waynesburg Republican, where he learned the printer's trade. at the time of his death he was employed by the Wheeling, W. Va., News and Register. Mr. Fordyce was a member of Washington Street Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife, Charlotta Polen Fordyce; four sons and two daughters, Larry, eight; Edward, seven; James, four; Charles, three; Byllie Sue, six, and Sylvia Jane, two, and one sister, Emma Jane, wife of John Pendergast of Wolfdale. Funeral services were held Tuesday in the Garrison Funeral Home, conducted by Rev. Paul Holden. Interment in Green Mount Cemetery. Newspaper obituary, date and source unknown (Greene County, PA) |
