William A. Fordyce Obituary
1964


William A. Fordyce aged about 58, of Route 1, LaOtto, passed away at 5 p.m., September 14, 1964, at the Garrett Community hospital, where he had been a patient eight days.

He was born July 6, 1906 at Whiting, but resided in the Noble County area most of his lifetime. Orphaned at the age of 9, he was raised by an aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Byrie of Churubusco. He was employed by the Noble County Highway department.

Mr. Fordyce is survived by his wife, Alta; two daughters, Mrs. Leonard Moore Jr., of Albion, and Mrs. Edith Heltzel of Ligonier; one son, Charles W., of Wolcottville; nine grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Marie Shivley of Knox, Mrs. Pearl Hovey of Crown Point, and Mrs. Irene Walda of Fort Wayne.

Funeral services were held Thursday at 2 p.m. at a Churubusco funeral home, with Rev. Marion Shroyer officiating. Interrment was in Riverview cemetery.
