W. Charles Fordyce William Charles (Chuck) Fordyce, 70, of Fredericktown, died at 11:55 p.m. Monday, September 24, 1990, in Greene County Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born March 20, 1920, in Waynesburg, he was the son of Otto and Margaret Jenkins Fordyce. He resided most of his adult life in the Fredericktown area and was a former coal miner, working for the Gateway Coal Co. for 44 years. Mr. Fordyce was a member of the UMW. Surviving are his wife, Laura Jay Fordyce; one daughter, Mary Decker of Daisytown; one son, David Jay of Crucible; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one brother, John Albert Fordyce of Cokeburg.
