Jesse William Fox
Past master of Waynesburg Lodge 153, F&AM Jesse William Fox, 72, of Sugar Grove, Greensboro R.D.1, died at 6:30 a.m. Sunday, November 21, 1999, at Monongalia General Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va. He was born September 3, 1927, in Mapletown, a son of Alva Vincen and Mildred Pearl Crago Fox. Mr. Fox was a 1945 graduate of Mapletown High School and was a member of Sugar Grove Baptist Church. He worked for 38 years for several local mines and retired from the safety department of Shannopin Mine in Bobtown. Mr. Fox also worked for Joy Manufacturing for two years. He served in the U.S. Army as a corporal during World War II and was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6303, Greensboro, and AmVets General Marshall Post 103 of Hopwood. He was a past master of Waynesburg Lodge 153, F&AM, a member of Uniontown Lodge of Perfection, Scottish Rite Bodies in the Valley of Pittsburgh and Syria Temple, AAONMS of Pittsburgh. In addition, he was a member of Three State Chapter of the Safari Club of Uniontown and Camp Carmichaels in Cameron County. On September 12, 1947, he married Margaret (Peggy) Allen Fox, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Thomas W. Fox of Greensboro and Jesse W. Fox of Mt. Morris; two grandsons, Thomas Fox II and Jeffrey Fox; two great-grandchildren; and his step-mother, Nellie A. Phillips Shimek Fox of Carmichaels. Deceased are a son, Daniel Edward Fox; and a brother, Kenneth E. Fox.
FOX - Friends of Jesse William Fox Greensboro R.D.1 (Sugar Grove), who died Sunday, November 21, 1999, will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Yoskovich Funeral Home, Martin J. Yoskovich, funeral director, 300 South Vine Street, Route 88, Carmichaels, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 24, with the Rev. William Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Garards Fort Cemetery. Full military honors will be accorded by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6303 and Cumberland American Legion Post 400.
