Luther Fox

Luther Fox, aged 71, a former resident of Greene County, died suddenly at 8 o'clock Wednesday morning, Jan. 30, 1935, at his home in Morgantown, W. Va. Death was attributed to a complication of ailments and came quite unexpectedly, inasmuch as Mr. Fox had been able to go about his work until Wednesday morning when he was taken suddenly ill.

A native of Whiteley Township, Mr. Fox was born October 8, 1863, a son of Jonathan and Dorothy Haines Fox, and for several years resided in Perry Township, where he followed the blacksmith trade until his removal to Morgantown, W. Va., where he had since been a deputy constable. Besides his wife, Mary Headley Fox, he leaves one son, Herschel Fox, of Akron, Ohio; one grandson, Sanford Luther Fox, of Pursglove, W. Va.; three brothers, Taylor Fox and William Fox, of Kirby, and Daily Fox, of Los Angeles, Cal.; and two sisters, Mrs. George W. Patterson, of Waynesburg, and Mrs. Jane Walters, of Spraggs. A brother, C. C. Fox, of Morrisville, died three weeks ago. Mr. Fox was a member of the Westover Methodist Protestant Church.
