Mrs. Grace Gambold
Mrs. Grace Gambold, widow of the late John Gambold Sr. president of the First National Bank of Coatesville, died Thursday, in St. Vincent's Hospital, Indianapolis, following a brief illness. Funeral services were from the Coatesville Methodist Church, Sunday, with the Rev. Walter Bartholomew and Rev. Allen Harlan officiating. Burial was in the Coatesville Cemetery. The Weaver Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. A native of Brown Township, she was born September 2, 1891, the daughter of the late Oliver Morton and Emma Victoria Gossett Fordyce. She was married November 10, 1921 to the late Mr. Gambold in Indianapolis, who preceded her August 24, 1965. A registered nurse, she was graduated from the Eastman Nursing School in Indianapolis and did nursing for 10 years. She was a member of the Coatesville Eastern Star, Methodist Church, Friday Club, Present Day Club and the Twentieth Century Club. Survivors include two sons, John Gambold Jr., Coatesville, Hendricks County clerk, and Robert Gambold, Lafayette; five grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Gorrell, Indianapolis, and Mrs. Mary Garner, Brownsburg.
