Denzel B. Gump Obituary

Denzel B. Gump, 49, husband of Helen Cole Gump of 1640 Broad St., Greeneburg, formerly of Greene County, died Friday April 2, 1954, from a heart condition. Death was sudden.

An employee of the Peoples Natural Gas Co. for the past 31 years, he was born September 14, 1904, at Brave, a son of William S. and Corinne Six Gump and had lived for the past several years in the Greensburg community.

Surviving in addition to his widow are four sisters, Mrs. Lula Tustin and Mrs. Blanche Patterson, both of Brave; Mrs. Lillian Meyers, Mannington, W. Va.; Mrs. Lenna Lemley, Ithaca, N. Y.; one brother, Raymond Gump, of Pittsburgh.

GUMP - Funeral services for Denzel B. Gump of Greensburg, who died Friday, April 2, 1954, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 6, at the Church Funeral Home, 197 North Maiden street, Waynesburg. Burial in Greene County Memorial Park. Friends received at the funeral home after noon Tuesday.
