Mrs. Lena Smith Haines, aged 53 years, wife of D. Clyde Haines, of Pine Bank, R. D. 2, died
Thursday morning, September 27, 1945, at 3:25 o'clock in Greene County Memorial Hospital.
Death was due to a cerebral hemorrhage and followed an illness of two weeks.
Mrs. Haines was born April 18, 1893, at Jamesport, Mo., a daughter of Joseph B. and Mary E. Clovis Smith, and was the last of two children. She spent most of her life in Greene County and attended Waynesburg College prior to her marriage 33 years ago to D. Clyde Haines, who survives. Besides her husband, she leaves the following children: Joseph C. Haines, Detroit, Mich.; Sgt. Raymond C. Haines, with the U. S. Army of Occupation in Germany; Mrs. Paul C. Stilwell, Detroit, Mich., and Jean Haines, at home. Mrs. Haines was a member of the Pine Bank Methodist Church.
HAINES - Funeral services for Mrs. Lena Smith Haines, wife of D. Clyde Haines of Pine Bank, R. D. 2, who died Thursday morning Sept. 27, 1945, will be held at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon, Sept. 30, in the Pine Bank Methodist Church with Rev. C. F. Miller in charge.
