Victor F. Haines
West Greene School District schoolteacher Victor F. Haines, 94, of North Richhill Street, Waynesburg, died at 11:35 a.m. Sunday, November 21, 1999, in Greene County Memorial Hospital, Waynesburg. He was born August 4, 1905, in Gilmore Township, Greene County, a son of George D. and Olive Fordyce Haines. Mr. Haines was a member of Jollytown United Methodist Church. He was a 1926 graduate of Waynesburg High School and attended Waynesburg College. Mr. Haines was an elementary schoolteacher in West Greene School District for 41 years. He was a member of National Retired Teachers Association and Pennsylvania Retired Teachers Association. He was a member of Waynesburg Elks Lodge 757 and Loyal Order of Moose 461, both in Waynesburg, and Knights of Pythias 165 of Graysville. Surviving are a brother, William D. Haines of Hawthorn; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are his wife, Geraldine Roberts Haines, who died July 4, 1965; and a son, Dr. Billy Lee Haines.
HAINES - Friends of Victor F. Haines of North Richhill Street, Waynesburg, who died Sunday, November 21, 1999, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home Inc., 197 North Maiden Street, Waynesburg, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 24, with the Rev.
