Ottis M. Hartley
Ottis M. Hartley, 82, of 256 North Porter Street, Waynesburg, died at 9 p.m. Thursday, January 26, 1984, in the Curry Home following an extended illness. He was born December 4, 1901, in Perry Township near Mt. Morris, a son of Jesse L. and Elizabeth Lemley Hartley. Most of his life was spent in Waynesburg, where he was a member of the First United Methodist Church and Elks Lodge 757. He was a graduate of Waynesburg College business school. Mr. Hartley was a welder and for several years he was maintenance foreman for Texas Eastern Transmission Corp. Surviving are his wife, Thelma Hickman Hartley, whom he married September 23, 1937; a daughter Mrs. Sue Valentine of Salem, Va.; a son James B. Hartley of Galion, Ohio; and two granddaughters, Lisa Ann MacAdam of Newark, Del., and Tammy Sue Hartley of Galion, Ohio. A brother, Sylva, is deceased.
HARTLEY - Friends of Ottis M. Hartley of 256 North Porter Street, Waynesburg, who died Thursday, January 26, 1984, are being received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday in the Glise E. Mariner and Samuel A. Milliken Funeral Home, North Maiden Street, Waynesburg, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, January 29, with the Rev. David Holste officiating.
