Waynesburg Native Dies
Carl Headlee, 54, a former resident of Waynesburg, died Monday evening, July 10, 1950, in his home at Ashville, N. C. Born at Waynesburg, he was a son of the late William O. and Margaret Headlee Headlee. Before moving to Panama City, Fla., in 1938, he operated the Oldsmobile agency and an insurance agency in Waynesburg. He had an insurance agency at Panama City and later ay Ashville. He served on the Mexican border with Company K and was an Air Corps veteran of World War I. He was a member of the Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife, Beatrice Orndoff Headlee, two sons, Willow, 19, and James, 17, both at home; four brothers, Fay, Glenn and Rex of Waynesburg, and Ray of Akron, Ohio, and two sisters, Miss Myrtle Headlee, Waynesburg, and Mrs. C. A. Atwell, Wilkinsburg. Two sisters and a brother are deceased.
HEADLEE - The body of Carl Headlee, former resident of Waynesburg, who died in his home, Ashville, N. C. on Monday, July 10, 1950, will be returned Thursday to the Garrison Funeral Home, Waynesburg, where friends will be received on Friday. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 3 p.m. Friday, July 14, with the Rev. David R. Bluhm officating. Burial in Rosemont Cemetery, Rogersville.
